Kentucky Administrative Regulation - Chapter 20 Plumbing

• 815 KAR 20:030. License application; qualifications for examination, examination requirements, expiration, renewal, revival or reinstatement of licenses.

Kentucky Revised Statutes - KRS Chapter 318.00

• 318.010 Definitions for chapter.
• 318.020 Apprentices, maintenance men, water company or district employees exempt.
• 318.030 License and general liability insurance required.
• 318.040 Qualifications -- Examinations -- Reciprocity.
• 318.050 Fees.
• 318.054 License expiration -- Notice -- Renewal, revival fee.
• 318.060 Reexamination.
• 318.064 Revocation or suspension of license.

Applications must be completed correctly and in the Frankfort office no later than three weeks prior to the exam date.

Master Exam

• Check-in for examination at 8:30 a.m.
  Examinations start at 9 a.m.
• A maximum of 2 1/2 hours is allowed for completion of the exam.
• Master exams are given at KCTCS (Kentucky Community Technical College System) campuses throughout the state several times a year.
• Master exam schedule is listed below.
• After Sept. 1, 2007, the master exam will be offered at the Frankfort office every Thursday morning at 9 a.m.
• Limit of five applicants per examination day.
• Applicant is responsible for scheduling his own exam date at least one week prior to taking the exam in the Frankfort office.

Journeyman Exam

• Check-in for examination at 7:45 a.m.
  Examinations start at 8 a.m.
• A maximum of five hours is allowed for completion of the exam.
• Journeyman exams are given at KCTCS campuses throughout the state several times a year.
